Architectural Advantage
In the Queplix vision of data virtualization we abstract applications and data sources from one another by constructing a virtual metadata directory for all of the data sources. Even relational data is represented with an object oriented view. This greatly enhances application and data integration and ongoing data management. Queplix packages this as a persistent software infrastructure in a server, wraps this in automation and adds our special capabilities for data management through Data Harmonization™. We have all the information about the data but we do not store the data - only objects which contain the metadata. We create a global entity to provide extension to applications such as business intelligence or to set the "record of truth" for Data Harmonization™. This uniquely creates an extensible, highly scalable 1:Many data relationship between the global entity and all of the data sources being integrated. We can do this easily and quickly because core of the Queplix Virtual Data Manager is a virtual object metadata directory - not middleware.
Most other vendor products are wrapped around federated views and 1:1 or 1:Some implementation models. This won't scale to fit even a mid tier enterprise. These are strictly point solutions.

Tier 1 - Basic Data Virtualization
Basic virtualization includes movement of data, federalization of data which is the only way the most other vendors do it as they don't have a real abstraction layer, and support for cloud based models. We support all possible technologies for application connectivity without limit - JDBC, .Net-ODBC, Web Services – whatever you need. We can accommodate any special or proprietary API fairly easily.
Tier 2 - Advanced Data Virtualization
Our technology constructs a persistent meta directory – technically, we are a persistent metadata server with additional workflow for harmonization, security and data management. We turn everything into an object model – most other systems are limited by the internal limitation of working with SQL. We are not a 1:1 connection – we support 1:Many, i.e. the concept of globalization – that there is one element of truth. This is a big differentiator verses ETL tools, simple data virtualization tools and such that focus on moving data back and forth continually in batched or semi-batched cycles. Our metadata server provides complete application security pass-thru at the user and group levels. We also provide a new level of security which allows you deploy new entities (global entities) with the security you need. This level of security may be important for BI implementations where new views of the same data produce important and strategic information you might want to protect differently. We also integrate data quality in all the right doses. Our automated system helps you measure, assess and remediate data quality problems that could impact your data integration initiatives. Data cleansing, data enrichment - it is all there. And we can do all of this without SQL. No SQL is required to use the power of our system - none at all!
Tier 3 - Intelligent Data Management
Capabilities such as automated 100% harmonization insure that your data is correct across all of the many systems you deploy. This is quite configurable. As you add applications and reach full vision you are solving the problems of data management easily, at low cost, with low risk and at small fraction of the cost of a “big bang” master data management implementation. You can get all of your critical data on products and customers aligned.
Data Quality Manager™ for QueCloud™ enables companies to create and maintain data consistency throughout the data migration, integration and management lifecycle - all with a single cloud-based platform. As a central component of the QueCloud dashboard, Data Quality Manager is tightly coupled with the solution's core data integration and data management functionality. Data Quality Manager™ can support data quality processes across a variety of data sources to include relational, object, xml and NoSQL.
We can also integrate 3rd party data sources for data quality, such as D&B360™ or Acxiom™. We are an excellent fit for divisions, line of business and mid tier firms for enterprise wide data management. The data remains in the source systems.
